Addressing a press conference in 2016 after his release from detention over hate speech, Junet Mohamed said that he thought that Gatundu South Member of Parliament was a strong man but was shocked to see his manhood shrink when they were thrown behind bars.

"I thought Moses Kuria was man enough but I was shocked to see his manhood shrink in his trousers. It was as if Kuria's trousers were empty," Junet said, leaving veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga in stitches.

Junet Mohamed, Moses Kuria, Johnstone Muthama and Ferdinand Waititu were arrested after publicly making utterances that were widely seen as hate-mongering.

They were later released after spending a couple of days behind bars.
