"Today, President Trump and the First Lady welcome President of the Republic of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta and Mrs. Margaret Kenyatta to the White House," reads a statement from the White House.
President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to meet with his US counterpart Donald Trump at the White House in Washington DC.
President Trump and President Kenyatta will explore ways to bolster trade and investment between the two countries while strengthening security cooperation.
"The meeting between the two leaders will reaffirm the longstanding relationship between the United States and Kenya as a cornerstone of peace and stability in Africa and the broader Indo-Pacific region," a white house press statement read.
During the meeting, the two leaders will be joined by both first ladies Melania Trump and Magaret Kenyatta.
President Donald Trump’s schedule lists a 20-minute bilateral meeting that will involve the two women as well as the US and Kenyan leaders.
