Kisii County local leaders have reacted after former Prime Minister Raila Odinga while speaking in Bondo on Tuesday dismissed claims that he is intending to vie for the country’s top seat in 2022.
Local leaders led by Steve Arika, a Jubilee politician said Raila is lying to Kenyans.
“Raila must speak the truth and stop taking Kenyans around the bush. DP Ruto should not trust Raila’s claims that he won’t vie for the country’s top seat in 2022,” he said.
A jubilee elected MCA Daniel Apepo dismissed Raila saying he thinks that he will catch DP Ruto off-guard in 2022.
“Raila is denying vying in 2022 because he fears DP Ruto. Kenyans know his tricks and without doubt, he will be in the ballot for the presidency in 2022,” he noted.
The Tabaka ward MCA claimed that Raila is focused to get President Uhuru Kenyatta’s endorsement but, his efforts won’t give fruits.
Rachael Otundo noted that no one has ever understood the way the ODM party leaders play his politics.
“Raila can lie today but, tomorrow he changes the tune. His style of leadership has never been understood by anyone. To me the claims that he won’t vie in 2022 are false,” she stated.
