Two female coastal MPs, Mishi Mboko and Aisha Jumwa, verbally attacked Former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar, after he joined President Uhuru Kenyatta’s party, Jubilee. The fierce coastal political queens were cheered on as they expressed their dissatisfaction with Omar.
Likoni Member of Parliament Mishi Mboko was the first to lash at the former human activist for taking up female roles.
The former Mombasa woman representative accused Omar of being feminine and talking about her and Malindi legislature Aisha Jumwa in front of President Uhuru Kenyatta. She invited the former senator to ask for advice on how to be a complete woman from them.
Mboko went on to praise Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, MP Junet Mohammed and Lawyer James Orengo for achieving success as opposed to begging for political favors.
She alleged that Omar was in Jubilee to get privileges he has not worked for as compared to his peers. She also warned the police against extrajudicial killings.
On her part, Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa supported Mboko’s allegations and urged coastal youths not to follow Omar in supporting Jubilee. She asked them to be part of what she claimed was the third and last liberation of Kenya.
