There have been mixed reactions on Kamba political Facebook groups on who should take over from Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka as the Ukambani's political kingpin.
Comments on the two groups, "Machakos County Forum" and "Kamba Politics" showed how majority want MakueniSenator Mutula Kilonzo Junior to take over as the region's kingpin.
The majority of those who commented on the matter said Kilonzo Junior should be made the "King."
This post came around after a video of the senator addressing matters affecting the country and citizens went viral on social media.
"We need to get to the root of these problems," Kilonzo said.
Kilonzo boldly spoke at a meeting in the Senate recently.
He said it's a shame for a country like Kenya to give work permits to foreigners when Kenyans are qualified to work in the same fields.
"How can you give a Chinese a work permit as a foreman when you can source Kenyans for the same job," said Kilonzo.
Kilonzo said Chinese contractors have become arrogant.
He cited an incident where they demolished part of a school in Makueni County, built Standard Gauge Railway line through the school and failed to rebuild it again.
The group post which declared Kilonzo as the official Kamba Kingpin caused different reactions on the platform.
"We want Mutula junior as our Kingpin since he fears nobody but God," Charles Mutua, one of the group members commented.
" Ukambani needs a lion and not cowards like Mutua and Kalonzo," posted Jayden Kameti.
"We are now wise and know what we want and the kind of leaders we need. #MutulaTosha," John Kaluí posted
" Mutula can lead Ukambani well just like his dad. We must revisit," Derick Muli stated in a comment.
"Ooh what a wise leader, Kambas let's change cards," said Mulinge Leon.
"Wiper should let Kalonzo retire and appoint Kilonzo Junior. This guy can take the region far," said George Onduso.
The big question is, will Kalonzo step down for Kilonzo?
Will Mutua humble himself and give Kilonzo the mantle?
It's a wait and see.
