Members of the public in Kisumu City and its environs have been urged by the Kenya Red Cross Organization to donate blood to assist those injured following a terror attack at the Dusit D2 hotel in Riverside, Nairobi.

The appeal for blood donation has been sent out through its Twitter handle. “#BloodAppeal the public in Kisumu is urged to go and donate blood to support victims of the #RiversideAttack at the Regional Blood Transfusion Centre next to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital,” reads a tweet from Kenya Red Cross.

The Regional Blood Transfusion Centre is few metres from the Kondele Roundabout, opposite National Oil Petrol Station along the busy Kisumu-Kakamega road.

The attack that has left at least 14 dead as confirmed by the Presidential address, has left several injured and seen them transferred to several hospitals within the county of Nairobi for emergency services.
