We have to eat before we sleep, that's the norm but do we really know what kind of meals we should eat during this time? The evening meal is one of the most important meals one should not forego.
This meal largely determines how effective our bodies will carry our the metabolic process in our sleep.
Here are 3 meals you should avoid eating when you are about to move to retire to bed:
1. Processed meat
Processed meat is enormously nutritious, however, this does not qualify it to be a major and regular part of your first diet especially moments before you retire to bed.
Red meat or processed meat have saturated fats that make them unfit for a healthy diet.
2. Pasta
Pasta foods like noodles and kinds of spaghetti are good sources of carbohydrates and are good for active hours. Eating this for lunch is perfect as you need a lot of energy during this time.
For night time, pasta foods aren't much effective as they contain high amounts of calories which can affect metabolism and weight.
3. Ice cream
Ice creams are satisfying and delicious. However, eating them moments to bed isn't a good option. They contain saturated fats, too much sugar and other ingredients that affect weight and sleep.
