Scientists explain that maintaining healthy weight reduces fats in the liver and pancreas thereby maintaining a healthy sugar level.
3. Exercise more, especially walking
Exercising is another healthy way to fight diabetes. Scientists explain that exercising ensures effective use of insulin by the body by enhancing insulin reception by cells.
Walking is the healthiest for people already with diabetes as running might increase blood pressure to dangerous levels during the exercise.
4. Make garlic your number one spice
The reason to use garlic as your favourite spice is that of its zinc content. Zinc acts an antioxidant in the body and is therefore recommended for people with diabetes especially type 2.
Being that most people with type 2 diabetes succumb to heart disease, zinc with its antioxidant property would lower chances of heart disease in these patients.
