The race for KPL golden boot will go down to the wire with Jacques Tusiyenge and Erico Kapaito locking horns on Sunday.

The Rwandese striker scored in Gor Mahia's 4 - 1 thumping of Zoo Kericho on Thursday, at Machakos Stadium.

Wesley Onguso put Gor ahead in 17th minute from a low shot before Mike Madoya levelled for Zoo with a header on the 33rd minute, taking his tally to 14 goals this season.

However, Zoo's joy was cut short by Tusiyenge's superb strike in the 35th minute, giving the crowned KPL champions the lead again. 

Four minutes later, Wellington Ochieng headed in a third goal for Gor.

Three minutes into the resumption of second half, Tusiyenge set up an assist for Bernard Ondiek who buried home with a volley strike.

Zoo Kericho wasted a chance to pull one back in the dying minutes of the second half, after Madoya failed to score from the spot after he was brought down by Joachim Oluoch.

Madoya still remains in contention  for the golden boot alongside Tusiyenge, Sharks' Kapaito and then Nzoia Sugar's Elvis Rupia (Zambia's Power Dynamos).
