Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka has dismissed Joash Maang'i's plans to succeed his boss Governor James Ongwae in 2022.
According to the vocal lawmaker, Maangi will not win the County's top seat because he has associated himself much with DP William Ruto.
"Kisii residents will not vote for Maangi to succeed his boss in 2022 due to his close association with DP Ruto. This will give me a walk over in 2022," he said.
The MP said any politician who associates himself with DP Ruto from Gusii region will not win any elective post in 2022.
"I am preparing well to vie for the top seat and I will give my opponents a run for their money," he added.
The lawmaker called on local politicians to shun divisive politics which may cause divisions among the electorates.
Onyonka added that he will reach out to Governor Ongwae to seek his endorsement ahead of the 2022 elections.
He was speaking on Sunday in Kisii town.
