Since her exit, the commission has seen three others leave with the Secretariat head Ezra Chiloba kicked out by chairman Wafula Chebukati last week.

And in a tweet where she had been tagged by another user, Akombe predicted that the wrangles are likely to persist.

"Indeed it is one year today! And the drama continues," she wrote when a user reminded her that it's been a year since her exit.

In her resignation letter, she said: "It has reached a point where making decisions in plenary is difficult because many commissioners comes when already made up their minds. It's difficult to discharge my mandate."

After her exit, a section of professionals from Nyamira County had started pushing for her entry into politics with governorship seat being at play.

Born in President day West Mugirango, Ms. Akombe is an alumni of prestigious Nyabururu Girls and the University of Nairobi.

She would later secure a scholarship to study in the US and for years, she has worked with United Nations.
