Upon landing, students of Menyenya Primary school welcomed Raila Odinga on Friday with 'pro- Baba', chants, temporarily bringing learning into stand still.
Organisers of Ndemo Nyagarama's funeral had identified the institution's field as ideal for landing thus Raila's decision to use it.
Moments after landing, Raila was forced to ignore security details who had directed him towards a waiting vehicle, after he was thrilled by the students passion.
Within minutes, students filled the field as organisers connected microphone to allow Raila address the learners.
"I am delighted to land here. How are you my children?" asked Raila in local dialect albeit with difficulties.
He went on: " Do you know who's is talking?"
The delighted students answered in affirmative as the former Prime Minister proceeded with his speech.
He urged the students to work had in school besides respecting their parents and teachers.
Towards the end of his speech, Raila was seen dishing Sh50,000 for soda which was topped by local leaders led by Timothy Bosire, James Ongwae and Deputy Governor Amos Nyaribo.
