Embakasi East Mp Babu Owino has pledged to cater for the last ceremony of brutally murdered Samuel Ragira. Owino who visited the family on Saturday noted in his social media pages that killing of Ragira deserves immediate justice.
The youth lawmaker condemned the inhumane act and call upon Kenya Police Service to assure students of their safety against criminals.
"I went to pay my last respects to the fallen comrade at the Chiromo Mortuary alongside the greater University of Nairobi fraternity and in the spirit of comradeship, I commit to offsetting all funeral expenses, " reads part of his post
Ragira was a former University of Nairobi colleague to Owino, therefore, in the power of comradeship, he decided to uplift the mourning widow to enable her to continue raising her daughter.
"I visited his home where I assured his widow Yvonne of our continued support. After the dust has settled, I pledge to empower her to start a business to enable her to raise their daughter Talia as her departed father would have wanted," he noted
Owino also managed to visit Director of Criminal Investigation office to inquire about the state of late Ragira case. He noted DCI officials assured him of an ongoing investigation on the matter.
