Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja has reiterated that President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga are committed to end corruption in this country.
According to Sakaja, politicians who are opposed to the historic handshake between the two leaders are development detractors.
“President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga are working closely to unite the country and fight impunity. Elected leaders should support the two leaders for Kenyans to continue living in peace, unity and harmony,” he said.
Sakaja called on NASA and Jubilee politicians to shun divisive politics and work together for development to be realized across the country.
“2022 is far and politicians should stop early campaigns. It is time we should first work to deliver as by the promises we made during the last year’s polls,” he noted.
The senator said demolition of houses constructed on riparian and public lands should continue to ensure cartels who grabbed the lands are arrested and prosecuted.
“Cartels should not be allowed to continue public grabbing lands. I am fully supporting the ongoing demolitions. Impunity must stop in this country and those who have trespassed to construct houses on public lands should be sent to jail,” he stated.
He called on the Judiciary not to free cartels when arraigned in court until cases are heard and determined.
