A section of Rift Valley leaders have accused former Prime Minister Raila Odinga of 'hiding' in handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta to undermine deputy president William Ruto.
Over the weekend, Ruto accused Raila of using the handshake with his boss to elbow him out of Jubilee but added that it will be an impossibility.
Nandi Governor Stephen Sang now wants Uhuru to reveal details of MOU with Raila so that 'they can understand their terms and conditions'.
“The details of this handshake between the President and Mr Odinga must be revealed so that Mr Odinga stops hiding behind it to attack the Deputy President. The working arrangement between the President and the Opposition leader did not entail undermining Mr Ruto,”
And Chepalungu MP Gideon Koiskei added: " Raila is behaving as if he's co-president and this is quite dangerous. We must know why he's using the MOU to intimidate Ruto."
However, ODM leaders led by Junet Mohammed accused Ruto of using the handshake as scapegoat to quit Jubilee.
"He is on his way out. He is using the handshake as scapegoat but we all know his history of dumping parties," he said.
Despite the ongoing intrigues between Ruto and Raila, President Uhuru Kenyatta has however remained mum about the matter.
