A woman roasting maize in Gando estate in Dagoretti South broke down in tears after the Deputy President Dr William Ruto bought roasted maize from her.
In the video, Ruto is seen approaching the place from which the maize is being roasted.
The lady, who was dressed in a blue hoodie, went down on her knees and started crying when DP Ruto pressed some notes into her hands.
This clearly caught her by surprise and left her overwhelmed. Ruto pulled her up, trying to console her.
Within no time, a crowd of people started milling around the DP, greatly entertained by the spectacle of the country's second-in-command buying roasted maize by the roadside.
DP Ruto then shares the maize with some members of the crowd.

The spectacle felt like a repetition of what social media users have been used to. About two weeks ago in Githurai, Kiambu County, Ruto bought roasted maize.
He did the same in Budalangi three days ago when he surprised a family roasting maize by the roadside.
Ruto had attended a church service in Ol-Jororok.
