A middle aged man identified as Stephen Kombo from Tabaka are in South Mugirango area over on Sunday faced the wrath of his in-laws after filling a divorce for his 55 year old wife who they have been in marriage with for over 25 years.
According to the eye witnesses drama started when the man invited the brothers to his wife to let them know that he was filling a divorce after they had a misunderstanding over issues for the last few months only for the in-laws to turn out ready for a fight.
“The in-laws arrived well and they were welcomed by the man and the moment he started narrating his plan to divorce their sister they became furious and they disagreed on the matter and at that point they started beating up the man only for the villagers to come into their rescue” said Elius Otondi who was there during the occurrence.
Confirming the incident area assistant Chief Erustus Abuta said that they had a commotion and rushed to the home and found out that a fight had broken between Stephen Kombo and his in-laws and already the man had been injured.
“We rushed him to the hospital due to the injuries he had received from his in-laws who flew away when they had of my coming with the police” said Abuta
The chief however said they have already launched investigations towards the matter.
