Bahati residents, Nakuru county are reeling in shock following the killing of 13-year-old girl by unknown individuals.
The girl went missing on Sunday when she was sent to the shop by her parents.
The culprits are suspected to have defiled her before dumping her naked body in a farm.
While confirming the horror incident, area chief John Thuo promised to work closely with the security personnel and residents to make sure the tormentors of the deceased are apprehended and dealt with.
“It is a sad incident that involved an innocent child. We shall work closely with the police and residents to trace the suspects. Investigations have started,” said Thuo.
The local administrator has further urged the residents to voluntarily share information about the culprits with the relevant institution to help facilitate their apprehension.
The body has been moved to the Nakuru County Hospital mortuary.
