There was drama at Kisii County Headquarters on Wednesday morning after a man stripped off his shirt, stormed county offices in readiness to meet Deputy Governor Joash Maangi.
John Emonyo as he called himself said he wanted to meet Maangi and ask him for a job.
“I am jobless and this is why I need to meet Maangi to help me secure employment at the county. My children have dropped out of school because I don’t have money to pay their school fees. I need any manual job as long as I get a salary that's why I want Maangi to help me,” he said.
County askaris guarding the offices had a difficult times handling him because he screamed whenever they threatened to rough him up.
Raphael Aramba, one of the county askaris said such cases are common where people stripe naked and storm the county offices seeking help.
“We are used to such people who use such tricks to get help. We can’t allow him to see Maangi who is in a busy meeting,” he said.
Aramba said the man on Wednesday at noon to meet the Deputy Governor and tell him his grievances so that he can get help.
