Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has given gratitude to all law-abiding taxpayers in the county.
Speaking on Thursday, the governor said that the good service delivery his government has rendered to Nairobians was due to the efforts of the willing taxpayers.
"For effective service delivery to Nairobi City residents, my administration relies majorly on locally generated revenue. I wish to first commend those who have been promptly paying their taxes to the Nairobi City County Government," he said.
The governor also encouraged those who have not been complying with taxation rules to do so from now.
"I’m urging those who have not been paying taxes including land rates to comply as soon as possible before the long arm of the law catches up with them," he added.
