Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has claimed that Siaya Senator James Orengo spent six million shillings million to purchase six suits during his tenure as lands minister.
Speaking at Mugundoi in Uasin Gishu on Saturday, Sudi said Orengo has nothing to offer as far as development is concerned.
“When Orengo was appointed as a minister of lands, within four months, he had purchased six suits at Sh1 million each and a shirt valued at Sh.400, 000," he said.
Sudi expressed his concern over the high level of poverty witnessed in Siaya county currently, blaming Orengo for orchestrating the same by dwelling on politics at the expense of development.
He opined that the problems in Siaya are attributed to electing eloquent leaders who do nothing for the electorate.
"Orengo alianza safari yake ya siasa kabla mimi mwenyewe sijazaliwa. Kwa sasa tukiongea, umaskini umekidhiri sana kule kaunti ya Siaya na hiyo ndio matunda ya kuchagua viongozi wanaoongea kiingereza mingi na hawafanyi maendeleo," Sudi said.
