Nakuru Railways OCS Beatrice Nyaga, was treated and discharged at Nairobi Women's hospital, Nakuru branch on Friday, after she was reportedly beaten up by angry mechanics within Nakuru town.
The OCS was bruised by angry and furious mechanics at Railways area due to a misunderstanding between them and the police over an area they operate at.
Nyaga had gone to impose a court order directing the mechanics to leave the area with immediate effect.
Eye witnesses claim that, the police officers who accompanied Ms. Nyaga used force to flush out the mechanics.
The OCS reportedly hit one of the mechanics during the uproar. On seeing that one of their workmate was hit, the mechanics hurled stones at the police.
During the commotion, the OCS was hit and rushed to the Nairobi Womens Hospital where she was treated and discharged.
The boss of Nakuru Railways station, Mr. Edwin Onguari said that police have commenced investigations into the matter and arrest those involved in the crime.
