The annual Kass Marathon was held today on 18th November 2018, with over 10,000 runners taking part in the event to prove their fitness.

The event had three categories in the marathon races;

5km - which belonged to families and corporate race, with children included.

10km - This was a race for both men and women who wanted to test their fitness.

42km - Marathon for both men and women where winners were to be awarded Sh1.5 million.

For 10 kilometers race, Winners were;

Gilbert Kimuyan emerged the winner in the men's race, while Joyce Chepkemboi emerged victorious in the women's race.

Jackson Kemboi Ruto took home the biggest price of Sh1.5 million, after emerging the winner in the 42-kilometer race, with Cynthia Jerop winning the women's race.

"The event was nice. I thank God for giving me the strength to win this marathon.  I appreciate Kenyans and Kass for cheering me," said Jerop when she spoke to Kass Tv.

"Jackson Ruto is my cousin. God has given our family ability to run. I will no longer live in a rental house but buy myself a land and build my house," she added

" Kass Marathon is tough. I was so happy when I saw the finishing line," Ruto said. 

The event was attended by several leaders, among them governors, Stephen Sang, and Jackson Mandago.
