Soy Member of Parliament Caleb Kositany has termed as a joke utterances by Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) secretary general Francis Atwoli that Deputy President William Ruto’s name will not be on the ballot in 2022.
Speaking to the press in Eldoret town on Sunday, Kositany said he cannot take Atwoli's comments seriously as he is not a serious person.
“We were once told by Hon Mukhisa Kitui that Atwoli has nothing between the ears and he has just confirmed that and every time he opens his mouth he keeps confirming that he is not a serious person,” said Kositany who also challenged the COTU boss to contest for the presidency against DP Ruto instead of spreading such utterances.
“We want to tell Atwoli that if he is fit to challenge the deputy president, let him show us his degree, level of education and let him come to the ballot. The only thing that can stop William Ruto from being the president is a defeat in a free and fair election,” he added.
Kositany, a close ally of DP Ruto advised Atwoli to act to his age noting that "people of his age are no longer in the wrestling field, football fields with their sons and daughters but relaxing and giving advice."
