Opposition Leader Raila Odinga today (Tuesday) hosted former Gatanga Member of Parliament Peter Kenneth at his Capitol Hill office.
In a Twitter post after the meeting, Raila said the rising cost of fuel is among the issues he discussed with Kenneth.
"Earlier today I met former Assistant Minister @Peter_Kenneth and among the issues we discussed is the legitimate concern that the rising cost of fuel will touch all other areas, and could cause food inflation and demands for higher pay by workers, which will hurt employers. The challenge now is to find ways of balancing between the need to raise money to run the country while protecting the vulnerable members of society. A way out has to be found," Odinga twitted.
Reports indicate Odinga had earlier met with former Kuresoi MP Mr Zakayo Cheruoiyo before he met with Kenneth.
The meeting between Odinga and Kenneth has sparked mixed reactions among Kenyans who are members of the United States of Kiambu Facebook page, with some linking the meeting to the 2022 succession politics.
