Garissa Township MP Aden Duale has hit out at politicians allegedly spreading propaganda against Deputy President William Ruto.
Duale claims that DP Ruto's political 'enemies' are out to tarnish his image for political gains.
The Garissa MP observes that some politicians are feeling threatened by DP Ruto's popularity and are being used by certain forces to fight him ahead of 2022.
"We are not going to give some idle politicians time to tarnish the name of Deputy President in the name of pleasing their political masters" he said.
The Garissa MP said that Ruto is being fought by some politicians for his development agenda.
"They are envious of what DP Ruto is doing and want to drag his name into malicious propaganda, "he said on Friday during a funds drive in Fafi constituency on Friday.
Duale asked DP Ruto not to listen to propagandists.
He said that Kenyans have faith in Ruto's leadership and will endorse his presidency in 2022.
A section of politicians considered as DP Ruto's critics especially from Rift Valley region have been attacking him in regards to the maize prices issue.
The politicians allege that DP Ruto is not keen on helping maize farmers get good pay from the national government.
The DP has, however, dismissed his critics, saying that he will not be dragged into maize politics.
