Through his official Facebook account, the vocal Jubilee MP criticised the CS for telling critics calling for his stepping aside to 'go to hell'.

"Thank you CS Najib Balala for gratuitously and magnanimously paying First Class SGR tickets for Kenyans who wish to go to hell. Yours is an act of exemplary leadership in executive fiat and hubris," read Kuria's post.

The CS has been under pressure to resign after overseeing the translocation of the 11 Rhinos from Nakuru and Nairobi National Parks to Tsavo East National Park.

Speaking in Mombasa on Monday, Balala said he will not be intimidated by those calling for his resignation, adding that he is only answerable to President Uhuru Kenyatta, as he is the one who appointed him.

"I will stand for what is right...These are sideshows....nobody appointed me. It is only Uhuru Kenyatta who has appointed me...they can go to hell and I can tell them that...I don't want to comment about the rhinos but they can go to hell," he said.

"It is Uhuru Kenyatta who knows I have the capacity to run the wildlife docket and nobody will intimidate me, they want to destroy KWS so that they can take over the parks and start using emotions of international people to raise funds for their lifestyles that are not accountable,” he added.

The CS has since suspended six Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS) officers, who he says were responsible for taking care of the rhinos.

The rhinos are said to have died due to multiple stress syndrome intensified by salt poisoning.
