Elgeyo Marakwet Senator and Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen has extended his attack on the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and the boss George Kinoti.
Murkomen who has been waging constant attacks on the investigative agency stated that the DCI has the inadequate capacity and that the professional competency of the DCI boss George Kinoti is in question.
Taking to his Twitter handle on Monday evening, the agitated Senator punched on the agency following the in-depth ongoing investigations on the Arror and Kimwarer dams scandals where billions of money have been lost.
"We have not questioned the legal mandate of DCI we are questioning the capacity of the institution and the professional competence of the office holder," he tweeted.
Murkomen's remarks were received by Kenyans with mixed reactions as others questioned his own capacity.
One social media user @Isaonyango asked;
"Do you think any Kenyan trusts your capacity and professional competence?" he paused on Twitter.
The DCI boss has been a punching bag of politicians from Rift valley who accused him of being used to target the Deputy President Dr.William Ruto and the Kalenjin community in the war on graft.
The Rift valley leaders led by the Elgeyo Marakwet Senator and Kapseret Member of Parliament have been 'vomiting venom' as the purge on corruption widened in which the DCI stated more top and powerful leaders will be grilled concerning the loss of billions.
