Speaking during an exclusive interview on Ramogi FM on Wednesday, Mutua said that the new found love between the two leaders has changed many things in Kenya.

He noted that there are many things to smile about since the two leaders decided to unite after a long period of political enmity.

“The handshake was necessary because we are poor. Ordinarily, citizens would not fight because of a contested election. In Kenya, however, we want our person, from my tribe to win because we will or might benefit. This way of thinking needs to change,” he said.

The county boss also urged veteran politicians to retire and pave way for youthful leaders to take over the country's leadership. He insisted that the time for the youth is now and the old need to support them in various capacities to transform the nation.

“The generational change in leadership should not be something the older politicians fear. Handing over the baton of leadership is necessary. It is time and we are ready to take Kenya to the next level. We cannot be at the foundation stage forever,” he added.
