A Jubilee politician eyeing Bomariba ward MCA seat in 2022 has moved with speed to facilitate the repair of a 'shaky' footbridge.

Isaac Motari, Jubilee party youth secretary general in Kisii County on Wednesday while speaking at Mosasa footbridge in Keboye within the ward condemned the area MCA Protus Moindi for being lazy.

He said he learned about the bad state of Mosasa footbridge after hivisasa.com published a story.

"I just read a story on hivisasa.com website about the bad state of Mosasa footbridge. It is worrying that despite locals having elected Mr Moindi there is no tangible development being done in the ward," he said.

Motari said he was touched with the story and decided to act swiftly before locals using the footbridge injure themselves. 

"I bought materials to repair the bridge temporary as I look for means to ensure a standard footbridge is constructed for the people of Mosasa to be using daily. Moindi needs to wake up to serve the people before I mobilize youths to go on the rampage," said the vocal politician.

He lauded hivisasa.com for being on the forefront pushing for development in interior areas by publishing well sourced stories aimed at improving the livelihoods of the people.
