There was drama on Monday evening at Keroka market after a married woman was caught in the act with a bodaboda rider in a lodging.
Witnesses said the woman identified as Teresa Nyangweso was spotted entering the lodging facility with the bodaboda rider only identified as Gephas.
"Teresa and Gephas have been having an affair. Her husband laid a trap on them when she came to Keroka market to buy vegetable but, ended up going into a lodging with the rider where they were caught red-handed in the act," said a witness Justine Nyabuto.
Nyabuto said angered Teresa's husband mobilized other riders who stormed the lodging facility and frog-marched the two lovebirds.
Area administrator Benson Ayienda said the lovers were caned thoroughly by angry locals while naked.
"Angry locals beat them up before I rescued them and surrendered them to Keroka police station where they are currently being held. It is shameful that married women have turned to be prostitutes instead of being faithful in marriage," Ayienda said.
He challenged married couples to seek guidance from members of the clergy whenever they are faced with temptations.
