Embakasi East MP Babu Owino on Monday interceded for Kenya.
Through his social media, the MP announced having attended a prayer rally on Monday led by Prophet Owuor of the Ministry of Repentance and Holiness at Uhuru Park.
The rally, according to Owino is attended by approximately a million believers.
According to Babu, Kenya is a nation founded in the belief of God. He stressed that it is through the hands of God that Kenya has passed through several obstacles to reach prosperity.
He noted the majority has it in mind that country might have torn apart following challenges in the 2017 general election.
He applauds the power of handshake which he believes has brought Kenyans together irrespective of ethnicity.
"We thank the Lord for softening the hearts of H. E Uhuru Kenyatta and H. E Raila Odinga causing them to put the country first and agree to work together," noted Babu in part of his post
Furthermore, Babu expressed his displeasure over the recent suggestion of regulation and taxation of churches. He noted this shocks him and assured worshipers that he shall stand with them.
"I wish to assure all worshippers that I will be on the front line in defending the Faith and ensuring the political class respects freedom of worship. We will not allow the Devil’s Hand to find its way into our society through politicians," he added
He noted that they are praying for continued peace, unity and prosperity for Kenya and appreciating God for it.
"God bless Kenya!," he noted
