Despite claims that he was to attend the burial of his brother, Deputy Governor Amos Nyaribo after all could not make it.
Instead, only Governor John Nyagarama, North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko among other local leaders who turned up for Robert Nyaribo's funeral.
And Nyaribo, who served as Governor during Governor John Nyagarama's absence from May to July, remained in an Indian Hospital where he's under treatment.
Last week, Nyaribo denied claims that he had undergone kidney transplant, instead terming it as 'minor operation'.
"Ignore those rumours from detractors. I am in India for minor surgery and I am currently recuperating.
"I lost a brother and burial arrangements are underway. I will return upon the advise of doctors," he said.
At the funeral, Governor Nyagarama held brief for his deputy where he asked locals to pray for the government.
The county boss also tasked county workers to execute their duties or risk being sacked by his administration.
"The deputy is away and we hope all will be well. The government is committed to work for the people," he said.
