Fans mostly university students, had traveled from all parts of Uasin Gishu county to watch the main artist of the event, Tanzanian superstar Harmonize perform.

The concert, however, turned chaotic after the Kwangwaru hitmaker failed to show up.

Although Harmonize has since apologized, his fans specifically university students in Eldoret are still bitter.

Dennis Kipchumba, a third year student at Moi University blames Harmonize and his manager for not showing effort to make the event a success.

"Harmonize and his crew should also have fully participated in the preparation of the event. They should also have discussed the details on the payment prior to the event. From the look of things, it is like payment details were discussed several hours to the event," Kipchumba commented.

Caroline Anyango, a second year student at the University of Eldoret holds the opinion that Harmonize would actually have prevented the chaos.

"If only Harmonize had come out earlier and told the fans that he was not going to perform, probably the event would not have been so chaotic. Harmonize's silence was almost a confirmation that he would perform," Anyango stated.

According to Kevin Hamisi, a forth year student at Moi University west campus, Harmonize should just have performed for the sake of his fans.

"Harmonize was focused more on the payment and forgot about his fans. He should just have accepted the amount he was offered and performed for the sake of his fans," Hamisi said.

Harmonize on the other hand explained in a long Instagram post how the event promoters failed to pay him the agreed fee.
