Kesses Member of Parliament Dr Swarup Mishra has opened up on why he rarely comments on issues pertaining to the country's national politics.
The Jubilee MP has always been reluctant to give comments on the politics of the country that involved President Uhuru Kenyatta, his deputy William Ruto and opposition chief Raila Odinga.
According to the MP, this is because he is far beyond that and that he is devoted to working for his electorates.
“If your father and mother are in the house who are you comment on how they should live and conduct themselves? Let them live the way they want,” he told the press while at Tarakwa ward in the constituency, Tuesday.
“I am a small man to comment on what they are doing, let me concentrate on development,” he added.
Mishra further insisted that his aim is to unite Kesses constituency and Kenya at large through the development and not mere politics.
“Kenyans don’t want politics with empty stomachs but politics with a full stomach,” he said while calling on the elected leaders from the Rift Valley to work as one for the betterment of their electorate, the way the Central leaders recently did.
