Trouble for Garissa Township Member of Parliament and Leader of the Majority Aden Duale worsened Tuesday as Kimilili legislator Didmus Barasa fired shots at him.
The Kimilili MP said that were a vote for the National Assembly Leader of Majority to be called, he would not vote for Duale.
"If there were a vote for the Leader of the Majority, I would vote for another person but not Duale," the outspoken MP fired.
Barasa spoke to the press within Parliament.
His strong words reflect a confidence crisis amongst some Jubilee legislators in Duale.
Kieni lawmaker Kanini Kega vowed on Tuesday to have Duale's conduct scrutinised by Parliament alongside that of Minority Leader John Mbadi.
Trouble for the Garissa MP started after claims that MPs took money to shoot down the sugar report compiled by the Trade Committe in the National Assembly.
Calls have been made to have elite investigative bodies look into the claims and charge those found guilty.
