If there is anything good for a married or a single man is to take a woman she loves for an outing for any other reason best known to themselves.
This, however, has not been the case for Eldoret men who would have liked to take their women for an out or just for a walk along some of the streets in town as they fear being approached by some of the twilight girls calling out for men to offer sex services.
Most men revealed that these girls pose a threat to their relationship apart from bringing shame to them.
Samuel Busienei, a regular at Uganda road said not once or twice has he been through the experience of being called out loudly by a sex worker openly offering him the service while he was in the company of the family.
"It's not the first time I have been called by those sex workers. I remember them calling me when I was with my family claiming that he won't charge me more for her sex service as it was the previous day. Were it not for the mutual understanding we have, then I would not be with my family today," said Busienei.
The embarrassments to the male do not only stop there as most of them who have slept or tried to engage them have been dealt with a blow especially when it comes to payment of the service offered.
According to Walter Nyongesa, a hotel worker along Oginga Odinga Street, they have often witnessed men thrown out naked after failing to agree on the ultimate price of the service.
"It is really embarrassing," he said.
These are just some of the reasons as to why twilight girls in Eldoret town are the most feared by the male who, to those who have no options, are forced to approach them carefully to avoid being embarrassed in public.
