For the first tume, vocal Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka, has come out open over his perceived inconsistencies in embracing political party ideologies.
Towards 2017 elections, ODM Treasurer Timothy Bosire once termed Onyonka as 'king of political parties hopping' following his dalliance with Jubilee party.
"We want people with stand. Kings of political parties hopping are not welcome in ODM. We shall ensure they don't make it at grassroots," Bosire said when Onyonka made a shocking appearance in the party's NDC.
In under three years, Onyonka moved from ODM to Jubilee, back to ODM before settling in Ford Kenya which sponsored his third term.
But on Saturday, the MP defended in floppy habit, adding that he feared losing due to resistance Jubilee was facing on the ground.
"Your excellency, I was sometimes with you but I couldn't finish the race because I feared losing. Honestly I did some research and found out it was dangerous to be in Jubilee by then."
During the Saturday's trip, Onyonka who admitted 'letting down' Jubilee, said he's now convinced that the DP would be elected president in 2022, adding that Nyamira and Kisii Counties will support his bid.
Onyonka and Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi have been drumming up support for Ruto, with a section of Nyamira residents accusing them of colonising the small county.
"Nyamira is a county on her own. It's quite funny that these guys believe they can speak on our behalf," protested activist Mwalimu Nyerere.
