Kenyan sensation Victor Wanyama is among five Africans who have made it to this year's UEFA Champions League final.
Wanyama becomes the second Kenyan to appear in the Uefa Champions league finals following in the footsteps of his elder brother Macdonald Mariga who won it in 2010 at Inter Milan.
The 27-year-old was injured at the start of 2018/19 season and was sidelined until late January but he has since become an integral part of the Tottenham side.
In the first leg, Wanyama played the full 90 minutes in midfield as the London side were beaten 1-0. He was selected and played for 45 minutes in the second leg before being substituted at halftime.
Tottenham dug deep in the second half after having a 2-0 deficit at halftime to beat Ajax 2-3 on Wednesday night in Amsterdam and reach the final of the prestigious tournament for the first time with a 3-3 aggregate to seal progress on away goals.
Tottenham will now meet Liverpool in the final on June 1st at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid.
Kenyan's will have the opportunity to witness Wanyama play after a long day of Madaraka Day celebrations.
19 Africans have won the UCL previously, Wanyama will be hoping to add his name on the list together with his teammate Serge Aurier who plays for Ivory Coast.
On the other hand, Liverpool stars Sadio Mane (Senegal), Mohamed Salah (Egypt), Joel Matip (Cameroon) and Kenyan Born Divock Origi Okoth who plays for Belgium national team will be looking to upset Wanyama and his team.
