National Assembly Leader of Majority Aden Duale has expressed confidence that Deputy President William Ruto will be elected president come 2022.
The Garissa Township MP said that DP Ruto will undoubtedly be Kenya’s President come 2022 because of the support he will get.
The legislator further said that those who are against the idea of Ruto being the next president should be prepared for a huge shock come the general election.
Mr Duale said DP Ruto will succeed President Kenyatta come 2022 because of the huge support he will receive adding that the residents in Garissa are behind him.
“Going by our own internal projections, DP Ruto is commanding more than 40 per cent support across the county, leaving the remaining percentage to more than 10 other aspirants to share. His chances of succeeding President Kenyatta can only get better,” said the MP.
Mr Duale claimed that the recent survey report by research firm IPSOS Synovate that ranked the DP as the most corrupt Kenyan was politically motivated.
“You have seen them throw dirt at the deputy president, sponsoring opinion polls to show him as the most corrupt with a view to blunt his 2022 chances,” added the MP.
