Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has expressed his sadness following the demise of Susan Wangari Kamaru.
The deceased was the wife of Kikuyu legendary benga musician the late Joseph Kamaru who died about four months ago.
Wangari, who was battling with high blood pressure among other diseases, passed on last week while staying at her daughter's home in Rongai.
Kabogo on Thursday sent a message of condolence and encouragement to the family ahead of the burial set for today (Friday).
"My heartfelt condolences to the family of my late friend and music legend Joseph Kamaru for the demise of his beloved wife Mrs Susan Kamaru. We pray to our Lord to console you at this time of grief. Rest in peace Mama," said the former county boss.
Wangari, 78, was Kamaru's only surviving wife as his second wife Reverend Teresia Wanjiku had died in September 2017.
She was a resident of Watuha village in Kangema, Murang'a County, and has left behind four children.
Kamaru died on October 2018 at the MP Shah Hospital in Nairobi while undergoing treatment for Parkinson Plus disease.
His burial was attended by hundreds of his fans including President Uhuru Kenyatta, Deputy President William Ruto, ODM leader Raila Odinga among other dignitaries.
