Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati is not fit to represent the Gusii community as a spokesman, a Kisii based Jubilee politician has said.
Steve Arika claimed that Arati should concentrate on city politics and leave alone Gusii politicians to handle local politics.
"Arati should not be given room the represent the community as the spokesperson.
"The ODM MP should focus on Nairobi politics and leave Gusii politicians to handle matters in the Gusii community," he said.
Arika faulted elders who supported Arati after he bribed them.
"Arati paid some people who calls themselves elders before coronation as spokesman," he said.
According to him, Interior CS Fred Matiang'i stands a better chance to represent the community at the national level.
He reiterated that there are mature politicians from the region who should be engaged before the community spokesman is named.
Arika was speaking on Saturday in Kisii town.
