It is without an iota of doubt that flamboyant city lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi is indeed one of the successful individuals in the legal profession.
Born and raised in the volatile, drought-stricken Mandera County, Ahmednasir soared high to become who he is today.
Even as Kenyans consider him a role model, the senior counsel feels that he has in one way failed to achieve a lifetime goal.
In an interview with the Business Daily, the controversial lawyer went public claiming that he has failed himself in life for not having done doctorate studies.
Asked whether he was considering the same, he dubiously stated that he might consider some day.
'Yes, yes. I think it’s the fact that I have not done my doctorate. I think I will do it, but sometimes I don’t want to because I have this rule that your children should do things you haven’t done. (Pause). Maybe I will do it eventually," Ahmednasir revealed.
Despite living a life full of controversy, Ahmednasir popularly known as the Grand Mullah has represented powerful individuals in high profile cases where he recorded a proportional share of wins and losses.
Among those he has represented in the past include President Uhuru Kenyatta in the 2013 electoral petition at the Supreme Court of Kenya.
