Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV on Monday, Kitutu Chache MP Richard Onyonka said that the ongoing 'war' within President Uhuru Kenyatta's party is not a creation of Raila.

" Raila Odinga is not an individual to be dismissed casually. Issues in Jubilee are not Raila's problems. Issues within Jubilee have to be handled honestly," said the Ford Kenya lawmaker.

While commenting on the ongoing debate on 2022 politics, Onyonka warned politicians against using the handshake to advance their political agenda.

"We are uncomfortable about shifting what shifting what the real  intentions of the handshake were. Who told us that a Jubilee candidate must be the next presidential candidate? We must handle this matter with caution," added the veteran politician.

The lawmaker's sentiment comes amid reports that Jubilee Party will be holding its Parliamentary Group Meeting on Tuesday which will be chaired by President Uhuru Kenyatta. The said meeting is aimed at easing tensions within the outfit.
