Mr Ragira was shot dead last week Thursday in Nairobi by goons suspected to be from the 'Mungiki' group.

Samuel Apoko, Kiogoro ward MCA in Kisii County, wondered why Matiang'i has not shown interest in the serious matter.

"I'm worried because Matiang'i who should be at the fore front to ensure people from the Gusii community are safe has not spoken following the murder of Ragira. We need to know Matiang'i's stand over the murder of Ragira," he said.

Apoko urged Matiang'i to move with speed and order police to apprehend the killers who shot dead the youthful politician.

"We have seen Matiang'i in the past being too quick addressing serious insecurity matters facing other communities. It is high time he should intervene to haev Ragira's murderers brought to book," said the vocal MCA.

He challenged Gusii leaders to help Ragira's family get justice given that he left behind a young family.
