Tanzania’s military police have arrested two suspects with a vehicle believed to have been stolen from State House Nairobi.
The car, a Nissan V8 model, is believed to be part of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s security escort.
The suspects were nabbed in Boma Ng’ombe while being driven to Kilimanjaro Province from the Nairobi. The recovered car had the registration plates number T954 DEQ which police claimed was fake.
Kilimanjaro Police boss Hamisi Issah confirmed the incident.
“This car was stolen in Kenya. We have interrogated the two suspects and their statements do not add up, " said Hamisa.
Kenyan officials are yet to comment on the matter.
However, It is not clear how the suspects managed to steal the vehicle considering that State House is a highly secure place.
