Deputy President William Ruto has assured the nation and supporters of the ruling Jubilee Party that the outfit remains together and the government is well on course.
Speaking in Njoro, Nakuru county on Saturday, the DP rubbished claims that the party is experiencing some division, insisting that Jubilee remains strongly united and intact.
This comes at a time when the party has been appearing to be speaking from two sides, one allied to the DP and the other seemingly pulling towards President Uhuru Kenyatta.
But the DP who launched Sh1.3 billion road project insisted that the party is still one big family which is not about to break as is being said or rumoured.
“There are no factions in Jubilee. We are one family and our purpose is to serve Kenyans,” the DP said, according to the Citizen Digital.
Once again, he heaped the blame on the opposition, accusing it of working tirelessly with the aim of disintegrating the party.
However, he noted that they will not succeed, saying that the party was created to unite Kenyans, and will not be beaten by the opposition which he claimed thrives on division.
“Jubilee is not available for division and propaganda. We will defend the unity of our country and the government’s development track-record.
No one can dare interfere with this plan that will continue bringing Kenyans together," he added.
The DP and his team have been very uncomfortable since opposition leader Raila Odinga reached a truce with Uhuru early last year.
