A former International Criminal Court (ICC) witness in the case in which six Kenyans were facing criminal charges in relation to the 2007/08 post-election violence now claims a North Rift Jubilee Member of Parliament is working behind the scenes to help revive the case against Deputy President William Ruto.
William Rono who was the defence witness for DP Ruto has sensationally claimed that Cheragany MP Joshua Kutuny is among individuals who are helping the ICC to revive the witness interfering case.
Addressing a media briefing in Eldoret town on Thursday, Ronoh who hails from Kuinet on the outskirts of Eldoret town further threatened to reveal more details of Kutuny’s plot should he continue speaking against the DP.
“I’m ready to mobilize and bring out those people he (Kutuny) is working with to revive that case of witness interference,” he told the press.
“Kutuny has been working against DP Ruto ever since he was the president’s advisor. He worked closely with one Nancy Gitau who has been widely linked to fixing Ruto in the ICC case,” Ronoh added.
Allegations against Kutuny, a Jubilee MP who has now been branded a rebel, comes just days after the MP together with his counterparts Alfred Keter (Nandi Hills) and Silas Tiren (Moiben) linked Ruto to maize cartels and called for his investigations into the maize scandal.
