The leadership wrangles within the Jubilee Party could be far from over amid calls for President Uhuru Kenyatta to immediately dissolve house leadership.
According to former Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando, the political marriage between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto is over even as he accused the DP of sabotaging government agenda for selfish political gains.
With Senate Majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen in mind, Kabando claims that the Elgeyo Marakwet Senator is using his position in the House to serve the interests of the Deputy President, something he says must come to an end.
"That is, if leaders don't find it in their conscience to on principle resign their seats and work on opposition beaches where they obviously belong now," the former legislator told the Star newspaper.
While basing his argument on the recent impeachment of Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu, Kabando claims that Murkomen wanted to use his position to save the embattled former county chief, something he says is against the position of the party.
This is not the first time Murkomen has come under such pressure from politicians allied to the President and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, for allegedly being anti-government in the execution of his Parliamentary duties amid the growing tension within the ruling party.
