Gor Mahia lost their unbeaten home record in the 2019 CAF Confederations Cup after going down 2-0 to Morocco's RS Berkane on Sunday at the Kasarani Sports Ground.
After a balanced affair in the early exchanges, Gor first real threat came through Boniface Omondi in the sixth minute when his shot just at the edge of the box was deflected for a fruitless corner by the Berkane defence.
The visitors had a perfect opportunity to take the lead in the 17th minute with El Helaji failing to connect with a well-floated ball that had evaded the Gor Mahia defence.
After some settling in the game, Berkane started dominating the game but were in numerous occasion undone by the final ball.
